COMMON Q&As

Where is the event taking place?

At the Sheraton Hotel, Lothian Road, Edinburgh. You will receive more information when you book. 

What are the timings for the event?

Both days will run from 9am to 5pm with registration likely to be from 8am on the first day. 

Do I need to come to both days?

No. You can come to day one only or both days. To attend the second day you need to attend the first day. 

What's included in your ticket price?

Your ticket includes access to the event and light refreshments throughout the event (see below).  

Can I bring my business partner, a colleague or my spouse?

You're welcome to invite family, friends and other contacts although everyone who wants to attend needs to buy a ticket.

Are there discounts for charities, social enterprises, causes or students?

Yes. There is a lower priced ticket for students, charities, social causes and micro businesses (with only one employee). If you want to attend for two days, you get two days for the price of one. 

Charities and social causes - we are inviting businesses to pay-it-forward  and pay for 'cause' tickets. Some businesses are likely to have their own preferred charity or cause they will want to invite. However any extra tickets we get will be allocated to causes in attendance at event on a first come first served basis. To receive one of these tickets you need to already be booked on the event and in attendance on the first day of the event. 

We are also planning activities during the day where donations will be made to causes attending the event. 

Students - we are also exploring other opportunities for students including the opportunity of volunteer at the event. Please get in touch to find out more. 

Are any meals or refreshments provided?

  • Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided when you arrive and during both morning and afternoon breaks. 
  • For lunch, we suggest you grab something to eat at the cafe at the venue or one of the nearby cafes or pubs. 
  • We will be offering a VIP upgrade that will include lunch nearer the time. 

What is your refund policy?

If you have purchased an individual ticket (rather than a table) you can cancel at any time, but please be aware of the following:

  • If we receive your written cancellation request before 31st December 2018 you will receive a 50% refund of the ticket price you paid.
  • If we receive your written cancellation request between 1st January and 31st  March 2019 you will receive 25% refund of the ticket price you paid.
  • If you cancel anytime in April you will not be eligible for a refund, but you may send someone in your place. 

Notes: 

No change of names associated with tickets will be accepted after 12th April 2019.

The cancellation policy for table bookings will be detailed in your booking confirmation.
